5 Days in Phuket — The Classic Itinerary
The ideal five-day trip — two island day trips, two beach days, and an afternoon in Phuket Old Town.
Day 1 — Arrive & Patong Beach
Arrive, check in, and give yourself the afternoon to find your feet at Patong Beach. Good first evening: beachfront dinner, a walk through Bangla Road, and an early night — you have big days ahead.
🎯 Things to do
Day 2 — Phi Phi Islands
Early start for the Phi Phi speedboat. The islands are what most people come to Phuket for — Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, snorkeling, lunch on the island. This is the one day trip you cannot skip.
Day 3 — James Bond Island & Phang Nga Bay
The second unmissable day trip. Phang Nga Bay's limestone karsts are extraordinary — sea canoeing through hidden cave lagoons (hongs) is the highlight. James Bond Island itself is worth 20 minutes of photos. Tours typically include Ko Panyi floating village for lunch.
🎯 Things to do
Day 4 — Kata, Karon & the Viewpoint
Rent a scooter and head south. Kata Beach is beautiful and lively — good for a morning swim. After lunch in the village, ride to Karon Beach (quieter, wider) and then up to Karon Viewpoint for the best sunset panorama on the island — three bays visible at once.

Day 5 — Phuket Old Town & Departure
Your last morning belongs to Phuket Old Town. Hokkien coffee in a century-old shophouse, a walk down Thalang Road, and the best local breakfast on the island before heading to the airport. If it's a Sunday, the evening Walking Street market is unmissable.
