Overview
Perched on a dramatic clifftop at the northern end of Kamala Beach, Cape Sienna Rocks Café occupies one of the most spectacular vantage points in Phuket. Part of the boutique Cape Sienna Hotel, the open-air terrace sits high above the Andaman Sea and delivers sweeping 270° views — best experienced during golden hour as the sun drops toward the horizon.
The café is casual enough for a fruit smoothie mid-afternoon but polished enough for sundowner cocktails. The crowd is a relaxed mix of hotel guests and visitors who have made the trip specifically for the view.
What to Order
Fresh juices, smoothie bowls, and club sandwiches keep things light during the day. After 4pm the cocktail menu takes over — the house-made mango and passion fruit mojitos are consistently popular. Wine by the glass is available.
The Sunset Experience
Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to secure a good table. The terrace fills quickly in high season. No reservation is typically required for the café area, though dinner at the adjacent restaurant benefits from booking ahead.
Getting There
Cape Sienna Hotel is on a hillside road off the northern end of Kamala Beach. A Grab taxi from Patong takes around 15 minutes. Parking is limited; self-drive visitors often park near Kamala Beach and walk up.
