Overview
Tri Trang is a small, sheltered cove just south of Patong, separated from the main beach by a headland. Despite being barely 15 minutes’ walk from Bangla Road, it feels like a completely different world — calm water, far fewer people, and a relaxed atmosphere dominated by the Tri Trang Beach Resort and Burasari.
It’s a good choice for travellers who want to stay near the convenience of Patong but sleep away from the noise.
Swimming
The cove is well-sheltered and the water is generally calm and clear — better than the main Patong bay for swimming clarity. The beach is small and the facilities are mostly resort-oriented, but it’s public and accessible.
Getting There
Accessible via a road from southern Patong or by a short boat ride from Patong Beach pier. The walk from Patong over the headland takes about 20 minutes on a marked path.
