Overview

Kata Noi is the smaller, quieter sibling of Kata Beach, separated by a rocky headland just to the south. It’s an intimate cove — about 400m long — dominated by the Katathani Phuket Beach Resort on the southern end, but the beach itself is public and accessible to all.

Despite being just a 5-minute drive from the main Kata strip, Kata Noi feels noticeably more peaceful. The water is crystal clear, the sand is fine, and the headlands provide good shelter from wind and swell.

Swimming & Snorkeling

The calm, clear water makes Kata Noi excellent for swimming. The rocky ends of the bay have good snorkeling with reef fish, particularly the southern rocks near the Katathani resort.

Getting There

From Kata Beach, follow the road south past the village and turn right down the hill toward Kata Noi — about a 5-minute drive. There’s a car park at the beach entrance. Songthaews don’t serve Kata Noi directly; a Grab from Kata town is easiest.
